Man Utd transfer news: Ole Gunnar Solskjaer rules out signing player who Fergie has met
MANCHESTER UNITED boss Ole Gunnar Solskjaer says the club will not be offering a deal to former striker Giuseppe Rossi.
Man United won't be signing Guiseppe Rossi says Solskjaer
Rossi is back training at United’s Carrington base as he seeks to build up his fitness having left Genoa on a free transfer last summer.
And he will be hoping to get back into the game as soon as possible having seen a promising career impacted by a series of serious injuries.

Rossi’s return to Manchester United has coincided with former team-mate Solskjaer taking charge of the first-team on an interim basis.
Solskjaer, who has led United to six wins on the bounce in all competitions, has ruled out handing the 31-year-old contract.
But he has urged any side interested in snapping Rossi up to act fast as he’s been turning heads - including that of legendary boss Sir Alex Ferguson.
"We’re not going to sign Giuseppe, I think, no," Ole Gunnar Solskjaer said, after Sunday's 1-0 win over Tottenham.
"But he’s trained well with us, he looks sharp. He’s looking for a job, looking for a club.
"So Giuseppe is probably going stay another week with us, unless someone takes him.
"He scored a fantastic goal [on Saturday] in training.
"Gaffer [Ferguson] turns round and says: 'What about that, son?'
"So it’s a bit to help him to get fit before his next move.
"So if there’s any takers, you should be quick."
It has been misreported that Rossi has returned to United to join Solskjaer’s backroom staff.
Rossi and his girlfriend Jenna Lynn responded to those claims on Twitter.
Lynn wrote: "Lol. They think you’re there to coach?"
And Rossi replied: "Hahahahaha me a coach??????"
Solskjaer currently has forwards Romelu Lukaku, Marcus Rashford, Anthony Martial and Alexis Sanchez at his disposal.
