Real Madrid players call for signing of Robert Lewandowski due to Karim Benzema - Inda
REAL MADRID players have demanded the arrival of Robert Lewandowski amid Karim Benzema’s inconsistent form, it has been claimed.
Robert Lewandowski is perfect for Real Madrid says expert
Real Madrid have long been linked with a move for Bayern Munich striker Lewandowski and, with Benzema struggling, now could be the time to strike.
Los Blancos’ attack is sorely in need of some new sparkle following the exit of Cristiano Ronaldo to Juventus back in the summer.

Real Madrid’s current forwards have toiled with Benzema, Gareth Bale and Marco Asensio faltering up top.
Sunday’s shock 2-0 home defeat to Real Sociedad has plunged manager Santiago Solari’s future into doubt.
But Spanish outlet Ok Diario say players feel a new focal point could give them a boost.
And journalist Eduardo Inda has claimed veterans of the Bernabeu locker room have called for the signing of Lewandowski from Bayern.
Inda said: "The template says you have to sign a 9.
“Benzema has a problem. It is flat.
“That's why the hard core of the locker room has asked for a striker that scores many goals.
“The most veteran players have suggested the signing of Lewandowski.”
Inda then claimed that Real Madrid have been monitoring the Bayern Munich star for the last five years.
“The hard core has asked Robert Lewandowski, a player who has been in the spotlight of Real Madrid in the last four or five seasons,” he said.
“By some way he scores more goals than Benzema usually every season and is the same age as Lewandowski.
“In his day, Real Madrid signed Van Nistelrooy at 31 and he gave an exceptional performance.”
Meanwhile, back in the summer, Lewandowski’s agent claimed he was never Real’s top transfer target.
Cesary Kucharski said: “For Real Madrid, Robert was never the first choice.”
Signing Lewandowski could be difficult, however.
The Poland international remains Bayern’s undisputed talisman and, consequently, a January transfer may be tricky to pull off.
