According to Tutto Mercato Web, United sent a scout to watch Milan’s showdown with Fiorentina last weekend.
And the specific subject of their interest was 22-year-old AC Milan ace Calabria.
Calabria was deployed in an unfamiliar midfield role by San Siro gaffer Gennaro Gattuso.
And he was powerless to prevent Federico Chiesa from drifting past him before firing Fiorentina’s winner.

Calabria is said to have emerged as an option for United as they seek to bolster in the full-back department.
Although Fiorentina’s Nikola Milenkovic is apparently their first-choice for the right side.
United currently have Diogo Dalot, Antonio Valencia, Ashley Young and Matteo Darmian at their disposal to play at right-back.
However, Valencia could be let go at the end of the season, while Darmian might walk away on a free transfer.
