Man Utd boss Solskjaer to get money
Manchester United interim manager Ole Gunnar Solskjaer WILL get money to spend when the transfer window reopens in January.
Express Sport understands the club are willing to give their former No 20 funds to use on a centre-back and forward.
Jose Mourinho wanted a defender before his departure and Kalidou Koulibaly has been strongly linked in recent times.
The arrival of another forward is also wanted.
And Solskjaer could secure the signing of Douglas Costa, who has been tipped to join from Juventus.
Mourinho on exit
Jose Mourinho has played it coy when asked about his Manchester United exit by Sky Sports.
“No. You know me. Let me walk. Let me walk,” he said when journalists swarmed him in London.
“I have nothing to say. You know me.
“If you want to walk with me, lets go to Battersea! No problem for me.”
Given the events of the last 24 hours, Mourinho’s sulky reaction is understandable.
Pochettino claim
Former United coach Rene Meulensteen believes Tottenham boss Pochettino would be the right man to replace Solskjaer in the summer.
He said: “Pochettino has pedigree in knowing what the Premier League is about, he plays an attractive style of football, and brings young players through.
“He ticks a lot of boxes. It’s a matter of being able to manage the size of the club that Manchester United is on and off the pitch.
“If they could get someone like Pochettino, it would be a good choice.”
