The 37-year-old’s timely return to the scene sparked rumours he could come back to the club in an off-field role.
Evra is yet to find a new club since leaving West Ham at the end of last season.
And the former France international has today had his say on Mourinho’s departure - as well as the discussion over Paul Pogba presence behind the scenes.
“The thing that is annoying me the most right now is why are people so focused on @paulpogba and Jose Mourinho,” he said on Twitter.
“Let's focus on rebuilding something solid instead of being in a playground.

The tweet was completed with a picture of the United badge.
United’s record signing and compatriot Pogba has done himself few favours since the news of Mourinho's sacking.
The World Cup winner tweeted and posted a picture on Instagram of him smirking at the camera, with the caption': “Caption this! @ManUtd #mufc @adidasfootball #heretocreate.”
The message has since been deleted.
