Fantasy Premier League tips: In-form FPL players for GW17 – Liverpool defence, Arsenal ace
FANTASY PREMIER LEAGUE managers should sign up these hottest stars before their prices rise ahead of GW17.
Fantasy Premier League managers will be looking for some quick fixes to their teams after a couple of disappointing performances from FPL big guns recently.
Manchester City star Sergio Agüero continues to be sidelined with injury while Harry Kane was left on the bench against Leicester and Alexandre Lacazette was withdrawn at half-time during Arsenal’s win over Huddersfield.
However, Mohamed Salah scored a hat-trick as Liverpool demolished Bournemouth at the Vitality Stadium, soaring to the summit of the overall points and form rankings.
The Reds rearguard is also in excellent shape with 10 clean sheets so far this season, but which other players are enjoying a hot-streak and worth signing up ahead of GW17?
MID: James McArthur (Crystal Palace) – 6.3 form
Two goals and five bonus points in his last three matches show McArthur offers a cut-price midfield option worth considering.
FWD: Roberto Firmino (Liverpool) – 6.4 form
After a seven-match streak of no attacking returns, Firmino now has two goals and three assists in his last four games.
MID: Felipe Anderson (West Ham United) – 6.5 form
Marko Arnautovic’s injury has seen many FPL bosses turn to the Brazilian as an alternative, and Anderson is not disappointing.
The Hammers winger has five goals in six games with plenty of kind fixtures on the way.
DEF: Trent Alexander-Arnold (Liverpool) – 6.6 form
Rested last time out against Bournemouth so the youngster falls away from the top of the form rankings, but Alexander-Arnold is still enjoying a superb season.
FWD: Pierre-Emerick Aubameyang (Arsenal) – 6.6 form
An assist against Huddersfield keeps Aubameyang’s attacking returns ticking over, with the Gabon striker now having notched 10 goals and four assists this campaign.
MID: Leroy Sane (Manchester City) – 6.6 form
Hauled off after just 50 minutes against Chelsea but one tricky after is not set to throw the German off his stride.
DEF: Andrew Robertson (Liverpool) - 7.2 form
Another Reds player who was rested by Jurgen Klopp recently, but Robertson bounced back with an assist and two bonus points against Bournemouth.
DEF: Virgil van Dijk (Liverpool) – 7.2 form
The Dutchman has been an almost ever-present in the Liverpool back line and has picked up at least five points in each of his last five matches.
MID: Mohamed Salah (Liverpool) – 8.8 form
A brilliant hat-trick against the Cherries has seen Salah rise to joint-top of the form charts.
The Egyptian now has 10 goals and five assists this season.
MID: Son Heung-min (Tottenham Hotspur) – 8.8 form
Three goals and two assists in five matches, plus four bonus points, makes Son one of the form players in the top-flight.
However, the South Korean is owned by just 5.4 per cent of managers.
