Liverpool boss Jurgen Klopp responds to controversial Mohamed Salah incident
MOHAMED SALAH scored an emphatic hat-trick on Saturday against Bournemouth but noticeably didn't celebrate the goals.
Liverpool: Jurgen Klopp praises 'exceptional' Mo Salah
The Egyptian's three goals brought his league tally to 10 for the season - drawing level with Arsenal's Pierre-Emerick Aubameyang.
Liverpool also climbed to the top of the league, where they sit just one point above title rivals Manchester City.
Liverpool manager Jurgen Klopp looked visibly pleased with his side's dominant performance and was sure to note that nothing should be made of Salah's lack of celebration.
"I didn't really see it to be honest," Klopp said.
"I'm not sure - if he didn't celebrate I cannot say anything about it because I didn't see it."
Salah was imperious in his performance on Saturday and rounded off his performance with and incredible solo goal that toyed with the Bournemouth defenders.
"I was not for one second worried about Salah performing," Klopp added.
The 26-year-old had been criticised by some this season for not having hit the heights of his last campaign, where he scored a record-breaking 32 Premier League goals.

"For him to prove again another 41-goal season [all competitions] - everybody would struggle," Klopp said.
"I don't know who could have scored the goals he did - it was outstanding.
"All credit to him, it was great and now we will carry on."
After the game, Salah was awarded with the man of the match award but refused to accept it, and instead elected to hand it over to teammate James Milner.
Milner was making his 500th Premier League appearance - something Salah was highly complimentary of.
"I have to congratulate him for his amazing career," the former Roma man said.
"He deserved it today. I hope we'll win something together, I will not take it."
Salah will need to continue his purple patch when Liverpool encounter two of the biggest games of their season this week.
The Reds face Napoli at home on Tuesday in a game where they need to win by two clear goals if they're to progress to the last 16 of the Champions League.
Liverpool then host long-time league rivals Manchester United on Sunday in a huge Premier league clash.
