Chelsea news: Man City to make shock Eden Hazard bid? Pep Guardiola makes statement
MANCHESTER CITY boss Pep Guardiola has insisted the club won’t make a move for Eden Hazard following the Chelsea’s midfielder’s recent comments on the Premier League champions.
Hazard’s comments were interpreted by some to be a come-and-get-me plea.
Guardiola was made aware of Hazard’s claim during his pre-match press conference on Friday and emphatically dismissed the notion of him trying to acquire the 27-year-old’s services in the future.
When asked if he’d be interested in signing Hazard, Guardiola said: "That is not going to happen. No.”
City will come up against Hazard in a few hours time when Chelsea visit the Etihad.

And the former Barcelona boss Guardiola believes the Blues’ talisman will more than likely cause his defence plenty of problems.
"A lot. I'm agreeing with you,” he said when asked how dangerous Hazard could be. He said I'm so good that I'm agreeing with him.
"Switch on the TV, look at him, immediately you realise his qualities.
“You [the media] know his qualities better than me. He's an exceptional player. One, by far, one of the best players in the world."

Hazard has been Chelsea's star performer so far this season, scoring eight goals and bagging six assists in 14 appearances for Maurizio Sarri's side.
The forward has been repeatedly linked with a move away from Chelsea in the last two years and hinted that he could leave Stamford Bridge this past summer.
However, at this moment in time, the former Lille man is more than content in west London.
“For the last seven years with Chelsea, I have always enjoyed myself,” he told talkSPORT. “When I am on the pitch I try to give happiness, first to me and then to the fans who are watching the game.

“At the moment, we are doing well and that’s why I am doing well. So I am happy to play at the moment. Chelseawereclear with me [in the summer]. I couldn't leave the club. I accepted it.
“Anyway - leaving or staying, I was going to be happy. I do not regret this decision at all.
"When decisions are made [that you may not like] you can sulk and often you get the last word. But I will never look to clash with the club. Chelsea have given me a lot. I left Lille on good terms and I want to do the same thing here.
