Mbappe on joining Arsenal
Kylian Mbappe has revealed he spoke to former Arsenal manager Arsene Wenger about moving to the Gunners before he joined Paris Saint-Germain.
Mbappe joined PSG in the summer from Monaco after a season-long loan in Paris, but revealed he spoke about joining Arsenal.
“We were in touch in 2017,” Mbappe said.
“I’d chosen a different path, and he didn’t hold it against me. He was a gentleman and wished me good luck."
PSG backed to sign Ozil
PSG are favourites to sign Mesut Ozil with Ladbrokes.
Ozil’s future is unclear after he was left out of the squad to face Tottenham on Sunday.
And, according to the bookies, PSG lead the race for his signature at 7/4 ahead of a potential reunion with Cristiano Ronaldo at Juventus (9/4), while 4/1 says he stays in the Premier League and joins Chelsea.
Alex Apati of Ladbrokes said: "The Gunners look as though they're preparing for life after Ozil and the betting suggests PSG are the most likely side to make a move."
Fabinho happy to stay
Fabinho is adamant he has no intention of leaving Anfield despite links to PSG.
“I was told that there was something in the media, but I have never said that I wanted to leave Liverpool,” he told UOL Esporte.
“I was aware that I would need to have patience and wait for my moment.
“I am happy at Liverpool, I don’t have a single reason to leave.”
Azpilicueta signs new deal
Cesar Azpilicueta has signed a new four-year deal at Chelsea.
The right-back has now committed himself to the club until 2022.
"I am really happy to extend my stay here at Chelsea,” he said.
"Since I came, I felt the joy and responsibility to play for this club, these fans, and every time I go on the pitch I try do my best. Hopefully there is a lot to come and we can keep Chelsea where it belongs."
Ramsey contract talks 'closed'
Aaron Ramsey’s contract situation is closed, according to Unai Emery despite a return to form during the north London Derby.
Ramsey is out of contract and looks set to leave Arsenal in the summer if not in January.
“This conversation is not for today for us or for me,” he said. “It’s one situation that was closed one or two months ago.
“At the moment the most important thing is he’s smiling, he has the commitment, the behaviour and the performances like yesterday - that’s the best for him and for us.”
Chelsea move for Pulisic
Chelsea have made an official approach for Christian Pulisic.
The Borussia Dortmund ace looks set for a move to England as Chelsea and Liverpool battle for the America star.
But Chelsea have moved first and have made contact with Dortmund, according to the Evening Standard.
The Germans however could demand £70m though despite him having just 18 months left on his contract.
Isco battle
Chelsea, Arsenal and Tottenham are all interested in signing Isco from Real Madrid, according to the Sun.
Isco has struggled at Madrid since Santiago Solari was appointed.
Injuries have kept him sidelined but he has been unable to win his spot back after returning to fitness.
And the Premier League trio are ready to test the waters and see if he wants to move.
Sandro to United?
Alex Sandro has received a big offer from a Premier League club, according to reports in Italy.
The Juventus ace was linked with Manchester United and Chelsea in the past.
But both clubs baulked at his £70m price tag.
However Calciomercato claim he has an offer on the table.
Aaron Ramsey’s contract situation is closed, according to Unai Emery despite a return to form during the north London Derby.
Ramsey is out of contract and looks set to leave Arsenal in the summer if not in January.
