Jamie Carragher reveals one major problem Liverpool will have against Everton
JAMIE CARRAGHER says Liverpool will find it 'very difficult' against Everton - and it's all because of a Marco Silva plan.
The Liverpool legend thinks Everton boss Silva will have spent all week working on a plan to try and 'nullify' Jurgen Klopp's side.
Similar tactics worked against Chelsea - Everton battled to a point in a 0-0 draw - and Carragher has warned Liverpool the same may happen again.
"There's a quiet confidence from Evertonians I speak to on the back of performances against Chelsea, Manchester United and Arsenal," he said.
"They only got one point out of those games but it was more the performance.
It's a game I think Liverpool will find very difficult
"They may not expect to go there and win but put in a performance that bodes well for the future where you think they will get victories in the coming years under Marco Silva.
"It's a game I think Liverpool will find very difficult.
"Marco Silva will have worked all week on nullifying them, as they did against Chelsea which they did really well.
"I still expect Liverpool to just come through and edge it due to the extra quality of their players but it will be a really tight game."
Everton come into Sunday's Merseyside derby in good form having taken seven points out of a possible nine in November.
But their record against fierce rivals Liverpool makes for bleak reading.
The Toffees have a terrible record against their arch rivals with their current winless run now standing at 17 matches and eight years.
It gets worse at Anfield - Everton haven't won on Liverpool soil since 1999 when Kevin Campbell struck the winner.
