Man Utd legend Gary Neville absolutely destroys Liverpool hero Jamie Carragher on live TV
MANCHESTER UNITED legend Gary Neville was left in stitches after he absolutely destroyed his fellow Sky Sports pundit Jamie Carragher on Friday Night Football.
The broadcasting double act were at the Cardiff City Stadium to watch Cardiff take on Wolves.
Cardiff boss Neil Warnock sat down for an interview with Carragher and Neville ahead of kick-off to mark his 50th year in football.
This is his 17th managerial job and his 39th season as a boss and he went down memory lane to talk through his best bits.
Asked by Carragher if he felt criticism of his direct style was unfair, Warnock replied: "You'll always get tainted. It started when I was at Notts County.
I was a long-ball merchant early in my career but I had a back four that couldn't pass water
"I was a long-ball merchant early in my career but I had a back four that couldn't pass water."
And Neville wasn't going to let the opportunity pass by to aim a sly dig.
He interrupted Warnock and joked "was he in it?" - before slapping his fellow pundit on the leg.
It left all three of them in stitches before Warnock continued to discuss his Cardiff side.
"Where do you go from there?" he said.
"You can't say let's go and play football, you have to adapt with what you've got.
"We play a lot more football than people give us credit for. A couple of weeks ago we scored after 16 passes."
Warnock then went on to discuss the national team's style, pointing out: "When England are up against it with 10 minutes to go, what do they do? They took a long throw. It's not criminal.
"Anybody would think we take long throws every minute of the game.
"You have to adapt, you have to change things, you have to try and break people down.
"Nothing changes. I don't think football has changed in all my 50 years. I just think the game, it's so intense now and the coaches, I still don't understand what they are writing down on their notebooks on the bench.
"It must be their shopping list. I can't understand why they can't remember it."
At half-time in the first Premier League match of the weekend Wolves were 1-0 up against Cardiff.
