Copa Libertadores: Carlos Tevez slams CONMEBOL amid River Plate and Boca Juniors chaos
BOCA JUNIORS star Carlos Tevez has reportedly claimed the Copa Libertadores final will not go ahead on Sunday.
Copa Libertadores: Boca Juniors bus attacked by River fans
After a 2-2 draw in the first leg at Boca, they were due to face River Plate in the second leg on Saturday.
But chaos ensued as the Boca bus was attacked on the journey to River’s El Monumental stadium with windows smashed and players injured.
There was chaos inside the stadium with it unclear whether the match would still go ahead on Saturday.
Fans had been inside the ground for up to eight hours when it was announced that the final would be postponed until Sunday (8pm GMT).
Tevez was one that suffered in the attack with tear gas also set off.
And the former Premier League striker has hit out at CONMEBOL, the organisers of the Copa Libertadores.
According to journalist Peter Coates, Tevez has said that he believes CONMEBOL want River to win.
Coates tweeted: “Meanwhile Carlos Tevez is talking to the press again & not mincing his words.

Clarin said six players had vomited in the dressing-room after gas drifted into bus windows smashed by River fans outside the stadium.
The incident occurred three years after a Copa Libertadores last-16 tie between the same teams was abandoned at halftime after Boca fans attacked the River players with pepper spray in the tunnel.
River were given a bye into the quarter-finals and Boca were kicked out the competition.
