Real Madrid rocked as Marco Asensio wants to join Cristiano Ronaldo at Juventus - report
REAL MADRID sensation Marco Asensio is keen to link up with Cristiano Ronaldo at Juventus, according to reports.
Marco Asensio scores series of UNBELIEVABLE goals
Ronaldo moved to Turin in a £100million deal in the summer and Tuttosport claim Asensio’s head has been turned after seeing the reception his former team-mate gets in Italy,
Last season, the crowd at the Juventus Stadium rose to their feet to applaud Ronaldo after he scored an incredible overhead kick in a Champions League quarter-final clash.
And Asensio is said to be ‘captivated’ by the Italian giants.
The 22-year-old was thought to be one of the natural successors to Ronaldo’s Real throne.
However, he is still yet to nail down a guaranteed place in the starting XI at the Bernanbeu.
The Spain star has reportedly been told that Turin is a ‘wonderful’ place by international team-mate Alvaro Morata.
Chelsea striker Morata spent two seasons on loan at Juve between 2014 and 2016.
Asensio remains one of the hottest properties in Europe and has been linked with a host of Premier League clubs.
Liverpool were reported to be weighing up a £158million move in the summer, while Arsenal, Chelsea and manchester United have all been credited with interest.
However, he has previously stated his desire to stay at the Bernabeu and has five years left to run his current contract - a deal that includes a whopping £442m buy-out clause.
“My first option is always to triumph at Real Madrid,” he told GQ magazine in August.
“After that, you never know what can happen.
“I’ve never had the intention to go anywhere.”
Real are unlikely to want to sell while the club remains in limbo.
They sacked Julen Lopetegui after last month's 5-1 defeat by bitter rivals Barcelona.
Santiago Solari was appointed interim boss and was recently handed the role full-time.
However, he is only expected to be in charge until the end of the season, before returning to the Real Madrid B team or moving on somewhere else.
