Wales team news: Predicted Wales line up vs Denmark – Gareth Bale injury update, two out
WALES manager Ryan Giggs has confirmed Gareth Bale is fit to face Denmark in Cardiff on Friday (7.45pm).
Wales: Gareth Bale 'ready' for Denmark game says Ryan Giggs
Wales are set to welcome Gareth Bale back to their starting XI when they take on Denmark in a crunch Nations League clash.
Ryan Giggs’ side can cement a first place finish in League B, Group 4 with victory, ensuring promotion to League A and a Euro 2020 play-off place should they fail to automatically qualify.
However, a draw against Denmark would give Age Hareide’s men a chance to top the group and progress through to the next round if they see off the Republic of Ireland next week.
Speaking in his pre-match press conference, Wales boss Giggs revealed that Bale is available despite picking up an ankle injury in Real Madrid’s 4-2 win over Celta Vigo on Sunday.
"He arrived a little bit later than the rest of the group after playing on Sunday evening,” said Giggs.
"But he's fine, he's looked good this week and he's ready.
"He had a little bit of a different programme earlier in the week, but the last couple of days he's been good."
Wales have lost Chris Mepham and Neil Taylor from their original squad, meaning James Chester is likely to partner Ashley Williams in central defence.
Ethan Ampadu and Aaron Ramsey are both available, although the Chelsea youngster has not featured for club or country since his knee injury against Spain.
Paul Dummett is another player who has shrugged off injury to feature and will start at left-back with Ben Davies suspended.
Meanwhile, David Brooks has impressed for Bournemouth this season and will get the nod out wide while Tom Lawrence should start on the other flank.
Simon Kjaer is a big loss for Denmark with a hamstring problem, but the visitors are otherwise injury-free.
