Jadon Sancho: Juventus target Borussia Dortmund star to learn from Cristiano Ronaldo
JUVENTUS want to sign Jadon Sancho so that he can learn from Cristiano Ronaldo according to reports in Italy.
Sancho has enjoyed a breakthrough season with Borussia Dortmund this term.
The youngster joined Dortmund for around £8m in 2017 from Manchester City but struggled for first-team opportunities last season.
Under Lucien Favre, Sancho has become one of the main men in Dortmund as the club sit seven points clear at the top of the Bundesliga.
And that form has caught the eye of one of Europe’s top clubs.
According to reports in Italy, Juventus are keen on bringing the 18-year-old to Turin.
Calciomercato state the Italian giants are closely monitoring Sancho and want to open negotiations in the future.
They claim the Dortmund wideman would cost up to £70million and could learn from record signing Cristiano Ronaldo.
The winger’s rich vein of form saw England manager Gareth Southgate hand him his Three Lions debut against Croatia in the UEFA Nations League.
Sancho has been called up for games against USA and the Croatia return match in the upcoming international break.
He also played 90 minutes as Dortmund beat Bayern 3-2 on Saturday in Die Klassiker at the Allianz Arena.
His team-mate, Thomas Delaney, reckons Sancho has a big future in the game.
“You can see straight away that he is a great player,” he told reporters.
“He plays with a lot of joy - he is a very positive player.
“He doesn't see boundaries, he sees opportunities, and you see that in his style of play.
“He is always seeking a challenge, always a one versus one or one versus two.
“I am sure he will be a bright star in the future.”
