Man City vs Man Utd: ‘That would be dangerous’ - Jose Mourinho told not to do THIS
MANCHESTER UNITED must not go all-out attack against Manchester City at the Etihad this afternoon.
Jose Mourinho says Man United will 'compete' at Man City
That is the opinion of former Liverpool and England midfielder Jamie Redknapp.
Manchester United head to neighbours City on a run of good form.
After losing three of their first seven games of the season, Jose Mourinho’s side are unbeaten in their last four in the Premier League.
They have become specialists in picking up points from losing positions and did just that on Wednesday when they beat Juventus 2-1 in the Champions League in Turin.
To come here and go all-out attack against this City side is a dangerous game to play right now
However, City themselves are in scintillating form as they look to defend their Premier League crown.
Pep Guardiola’s side are unbeaten after 11 games and have scored 12 goals in their last two matches in all competitions.
Despite United’s resurgence, Redknapp admits Mourinho’s side could need something special to beat City.
And the Sky Sports pundit says going all guns blazing in attack would not be the right approach to do that.
Man City will have to ‘defend well’ against United says Pep
“Yeah possibly (United need something special) but they’re in good form,” Redknapp said of United.
“They’ve had some big results, confidence should be sky high after coming back last week against Bournemouth.
“Then midweek against Juventus, a super-power in football if you like.
“So they should be full of confidence.
“But, to come here and go all-out attack against this City side is a dangerous game to play right now.”
United will move up to sixth today if they avoid defeat at the Etihad.
Manchester City will also remain top of the table if they do not lose.
Paul Pogba and Romelu Lukaku could be in the United squad after injury.
