Man Utd team news: Predicted Man Utd line up vs Juventus – Recalled ace to combat Ronaldo?
MANCHESTER UNITED manager Jose Mourinho could shuffle his squad as he looks to deal with the threat of Cristiano Ronaldo and Juventus.
Manchester United take on Juventus in a crunch Champions League clash at the Allianz Stadium on Tuesday.
The Red Devils are currently second in Group H but well behind the Italian giants and a point or more this week will go a long way in helping secure qualification.
However, Jose Mourinho’s players will have to deal with Cristiano Ronaldo and his superstar team-mates who so thoroughly outplayed them at Old Trafford last month.
The United boss is expected to make changes to the XI which lost 1-0 against the Serie A champions and then struggled to see off Bournemouth on Saturday.
Romelu Lukaku was dropped from the starting line-up against Everton then left out of the squad to face the Cherries, having gone nine games without a goal.
Alexis Sanchez returned from injury to lead the line at the Vitality Stadium while Marcus Rashford stepped off the bench to score the winner in added time.
Both could start against Juventus on Tuesday, with Anthony Martial secure of his spot on the left-wing after a five goals in four Premier League matches.
Spanish ace Juan Mata is a favourite of Mourinho but may drop out after a couple of quiet performances, while compatriot Ander Herrera could be in line for a surprise recall.
The 29-year-old has found game time hard to come by this season but had an instant impact against Bournemouth and drew praise from Mourinho for his contribution.
"Herrera was the one that changed the game by giving the balance, the high pressure and the organisation that the team didn't have until then," Mourinho said.
"He is a player of balance. Not an incredible creator or goalscorer but a player of balance and knowledge.
“He understands what I want and what the team needed today."
The combative midfielder may well have played his way into the United line-up for Tuesday, with his selection set to allow Paul Pogba more freedom alongside Nemanja Matic.
Meanwhile, Mourinho is expected to stick with the same rearguard despite being less-than-effusive in his praise of centre-backs Chris Smalling and Victor Lindelof following the defeat to Juventus.
Phil Jones is still sidelined while Antonio Valencia is thought to be available after mouth surgery but remains out of favour.
