Wembley pitch: First pics of SHOCKING state ahead of Tottenham vs Man City after NFL chaos
WEMBLEY pitch problems have resurfaced following three weeks of intense NFL action ahead of Tottenham vs Manchester City.
Tottenham host Manchester City at Wembley tonight, but the pitch will look worse-for-wear after being devastated following three weeks of NFL action.
Further delays to Spurs' new stadium meant their clash with City would be played at the national stadium.
However, the game was moved to Monday night after a schedule clash with the Jacksonville Jaguars' NFL showdown with the Philadelphia Eagles.
Less than 24 hours after the NFL game ended, the pitch is in a terrible condition, with large brown patches and dug-up turf.
Concerns were raised ahead of the NFL game, and it appears that fears have been realised following the destruction of the pitch.
Painted markings, team names and a large, multi-coloured NFL logo in the centre of the pitch will also need to be removed ahead of Spurs vs City.
Pep Guardiola spoke about the pitch in his pre-match press conference.
He said: "It is what it is. I'm pretty sure that Tottenham have a good green keeper."

"Hopefully Tottenham can finish a stadium as quickly as possible but it is not necessary to complain about that.
"We have to adapt quickly, figure out that the pitch will not be in perfect conditions and adapt."
The Eagles beat the 'home team' Jaguars 24-18 in the final NFL game at Wembley this year, while Spurs must ensure they can overcome the conditions to gain a positive result in their temporary home.
The new Tottenham stadium won't be ready until January 2019 at the earliest.
