Dean Smith reveals what John Terry will bring to Aston Villa
Aston Villa moved to appoint Smith as manager following their decision to axe Steve Bruce earlier this month.
The Championship side have endured a rocky start under their new manager, beating Swansea via Tammy Abraham’s goal before slumping to a disappointing 2-1 defeat to Norwich City at Carrow Road.
Aston Villa fans are eager to see their side return to the Premier League, particularly following their agonising defeat to Fulham in the Championship play-off final.
And former defender Stephen Warnock has expressed concern, expressing a hope that Smith and Terry both have a clear vision for the club.
“I said at the time that Smith was the right man for the job,” Quest pundit Warnock exclusively told Express Sport.
“I also think John Terry, with his experience, was a good man to go to.
“However, Smith did recently say that he talked to Terry over the phone to convince him to take the job.
“I’m not sure whether that’s enough time to strike up a good enough understanding.

“Smith needs to make sure that they’re both singing from the same hymsheet.”
Warnock also sympathised with Bruce.
The Villa boss saw his head roll shortly after a fan had, rather crudely, thrown a cabbage at him.
And Warnock believes Bruce did well enough during his time in the midlands.
“Bruce did a good job, he took the club on,” he added.
