Real Madrid tensions BOIL OVER as Sergio Ramos BLASTS ball at Sergio Reguilon in training
REAL MADRID’S Sergio Ramos exposed the simmering tensions at the club during training on Monday.
Sergio Ramos appears to BLAST ball at team-mate in training
Real Madrid are winless in five games and manager Julen Lopetegui is tipped for the sack.
Lopetegui may be axed after tomorrow’s Champions League group game against Plzen.
Real are already off the title pace in La Liga and face Barcelona this Sunday - the first Clasico of the season.
And it appears as though there is plenty of tension in the squad right now.
In a clip filmed from open training today, Ramos is seen accidentally getting hit in the face by reserve player Sergio Reguilon.
The Spain international is seen holding the ball as players go through an exercise drill.
But as he turns to pass it to someone else, Reguilon dived across him trying to block the pass - and in doing so seemingly connecting or coming near to connecting with Ramos’ face.
The centre-back was not happy with the incident and blasted the football at the player in retaliation - although it sailed away from his intended target.
Reguilon then seems to go to apologise and Ramos kicks another ball at him - this time it pinging off his target and flying in the other direction.
Luka Modric then walks over to Ramos to soothe the tensions as the game ends.
Ramos goes to get a water bottle and spray his hair, while holding his nose seemingly in some discomfort.
The 32-year-old is expected to start against Plzen on Tuesday as Real desperately seek to end their winless streak.
They lost 2-1 to Levante at the weekend with Ramos partnering Raphael Varane in central defence.
