Liverpool goalkeeper Alisson risks ANOTHER mistake with Brazil blooper against Argentina
LIVERPOOL goalkeeper Alisson once again raised eyebrows over his ball control in Brazil’s win over Argentina.
Alisson started in goal for Brazil as they faced Argentina in a friendly in Saudi Arabia.
Alisson was a £68m acquisition from Roma over the summer and he is tasked at Liverpool with playing the ball more with his feet.
The shot-stopper has already been caught out once this season - against Leicester in the Premier League - but has the backing of manager Jurgen Klopp to continue distributing with his feet.
Yet Alisson was almost left red faced again on Tuesday night during the friendly in the Gulf.
Midway through the first half, the goalkeeper received a pass from his defence.
Alisson sees an Argentina forward closing him down and quickly tries to turn away.
But the ball runs away from the goalkeeper and he has to slide across to clear to another defender before being challenges.
The hairy moment may well unnerve Liverpool fans who have stuck by Alisson despite his occasional flight with fate.
Klopp said back in August that Alisson is not a show off but uses his footballing brain when distributing the ball.
“That’s not too cool for a manager. If it works then it’s cool,” he said.
“I had a few centre-halves who were able to do things a centre-half should not do, like Mats Hummels [at Borussia Dortmund] constantly doing things which made no sense but he was really good in there.
“Alisson is obviously a goalkeeper who can play football, which is good.

“He’s confident enough to do it. He didn’t do it for showing off, he did it to sort the situation.
“He has a nice level of confidence, so he uses that. I like the save from the header more than the chip, but the chip was the right thing to do in that situation.”
