Hakim Ziyech to Arsenal or Liverpool
Hakim Ziyech’s agent is desperate for the Ajax superstar to join either Liverpool or Arsenal in the future.
Ziyech, a Morocco international, has spent three seasons with Ajax where he’s netted 25 goals and provided 42 assists in 97 appearances.
His exploits have seen him linked with various European heavyweights including Fenerbahce and Roma.
However, Ziyech’s agent Rene van der Dijp isn’t impressed with the level of those interested and would like clubs like Arsenal and Liverpool to come knocking instead.
“I hope that there will be a better club than Roma – an Arsenal or Liverpool,” Rene van der Dijp told Voetbal Primeur.
It’s not clear whether Jurgen Klopp or Unai Emery have any concrete interest in the 25-year-old.
‘It’s madness’
Arsenal would be crazy to let Aaron Ramsey run down his contract and leave the club, says BeIn Sports pundit Richard Keys.
The Wales international is out of contract at the end of this season, meaning the midfielder can leave the Emirates for free.
The 27-year-old has been locked in talks with Arsenal over a new deal but with negotiations stalling, Ramsey’s future is up in the air with clubs likely to come knocking in January.
But Keys believes Arsenal can’t afford to let someone of Ramsey’s talent leave on a free.
“Arsenal played some wonderful stuff at Fulham and Ramsey’s goal was a joy - from back to front,” Keys said. “His gesture on scoring was interesting. Did you see it? He opened his arms and looked totally puzzled.
“Was it a message to Emery? Almost certainly. What are Arsenal thinking letting this guy walk away for nothing at the end of the season? It’s madness.
“A committed, professional, one-club man is so rare these. In Ramsey, Arsenal have got one - and they don’t want to offer him a new deal? It’s crazy.”
Jose had Alexis Sanchez doubts
Alexis Sanchez signed for Manchester United in January - but Jose Mourinho supposedly had doubts about the Arsenal transfer.
Sanchez is yet to scale the same heights at Manchester United than he managed at Arsenal. His dramatic winner against Newcastle on Saturday was just his fourth goal for the club.
And Bleacher Report claim Mourinho had doubts about signing the 29-year-old.
Bleacher Report say Mourinho had doubts about his suitability because he does not like signing players in January.
He supposedly feels they find it difficult to adjust to his methods.
And he also reckons players can find it tough to buy in to his philosophy.
Aaron Ramsey to Liverpool odds
Liverpool are the favourites to sign Arsenal star Aaron Ramsey, the bookies claim.
Ramsey’s agent has confirmed the midfielder will leave Arsenal, saying it was the club’s decision.
And the bookies reckon the Wales star is on his way to Anfield, with Ladbrokes claiming the Reds are the shortest they’ve ever been to sign Ramsey.
Alex Apati of Ladbrokes said: "With Arsenal seemingly preparing for life without Ramsey, it now looks as though Liverpool will add another Gunner to their ranks at the next available opportunity."
Ramsey is 5/2 to join the Reds, with AC Milan and Juventus next in line to land the midfielder.
Manchester United and Chelsea are also outsiders, priced at 9/2 and 6/1 respectively.
