Manchester United faced Valencia in the Champions League tonight with Sanchez restored to the starting XI.
The Chile international was omitted from the weekend’s West Ham horror show, with Jose Mourinho leaving his blockbuster signing out of his match day squad entirely.
Sanchez was back tonight, however. And the Valencia match has shown that Manchester United are stuck with a player who, quite simply, isn’t up to scratch.
Knowing he needed three points, Mourinho stuck the Chile international on the right wing.

Yet the way Sanchez looks so completely lost, so totally out of his depth, isn’t one of them.
