Man Utd news: Zinedine Zidane doubt revealed - why he would NOT fix 'clueless' United
ZINEDINE ZIDANE would NOT make an immediate improvement at Manchester United if he was to replace Jose Mourinho as the club’s manager.
That is the opinion of former Manchester United and France striker Louis Saha.
Jose Mourinho is under serious pressure at United with the Red Devils 10th in the Premier League after seven games.
United have already lost three league games and were dumped out of the Carabao Cup on penalties by Derby last week.
Mourinho is the favourite to be the next Premier League manager to lose his job.
Zidane? He would want to pick a big team with big players, at Real Madrid he had a team of Galacticos
Former Real Madrid boss Zidane is tipped to replace the Portuguese if he were to leave.
Zidane won three successive Champions League titles at Real Madrid but Saha said he was helped by the players he had at his disposal.
And Saha thinks Zidane would have plenty of coaching on his hands if he were to take over at Old Trafford.
“You expect a lot from the manager,” Saha told talKSPORT.
“It’s been really difficult this year, more than the others.
“Defensive football has always been Mourinho’s strength, but offensively they don’t seem to have a clue right now. It’s a pity.
“A question has definitely been raised. I’m not the one to answer because now I’m only a fan, but of course we all expect more from everybody, the players and the staff.
“How long will he stay? It’s up to the results.
“When you see the team playing this way, any club in the world with this size and this history, you have a lot of pressure and you have to find a solution pretty quickly and I hope they do it.
“But with this team, whatever manager is going to come is going to have the same issue. It’s a lot of work for whoever comes.
“Zidane? He would want to pick a big team with big players, at Real Madrid he had a team of Galacticos – but it’s a different set up at Manchester United.
“He would have a lot of coaching to do, more than just management.”
