Champions League fixtures THIS WEEK: Who do Liverpool, Man Utd, Spurs and Man City play?
THE Champions League returns this week as Real Madrid look to defend their title but who plays who in the opening round of fixtures? Express Sport is on hand with all the details.
Champions League: Tottenham drawn with Barcelona
Real Madrid got the better of Jurgen Klopp's Liverpool in last season’s final with Los Blancos coming out as 3-1 winners.
The Reds will be determined to set that right this term but it’s their Premier League rivals Manchester City who are the bookmakers’ early choice to lift the trophy in May.
Pep Guardiola won the competition twice while in charge at Barcelona and that success was one of City’s primary reasons for recruiting the Spaniard two years ago.
Real are placed at 17/2 to retain their title while Cristiano Ronaldo’s move to Juventus this summer has seen his new club’s odds cut to 13/2.
