Paul Pogba: Man Utd star reveals THIS hair decision taken during World Cup
PAUL POGBA has revealed he purposefully kept a low profile during the World Cup and refused to restyle his hair.
Pogba’s hair is often the talk on match days as he restyles his barnet for games.
The Manchester United player has even been criticised at times for his choice of hair style - especially ahead of big matches.
Pogba seems to enjoy adding a splash of colour to his hair and changes the style on a regular basis.
But he has revealed he refrained from altering the style during the World Cup.
I wasn't going to hear excuses about my haircut
The reason, Paul Pogba says, was to not distract from the France team.
"A haircut does not prevent you [the media] from talking, but I purposely did nothing, to stay low key," he told RMC.
"I wasn't going to hear excuses about my haircut.
“We are going to stay focused. Talk about football, talk about the pitch, talk about performances.”
Pogba was one of the star performers at the World Cup, helping France win the trophy for the first time since 1998.
The midfielder’s performances came off the back of a difficult season with Manchester United where he was criticised for his displays under manager Jose Mourinho.
Pogba cost Manchester United £89m back in the summer of 2016 and was linked with a move back to Juventus or a switch to Barcelona during the recent transfer window.
No deal came off but Pogba has spoken about his future in recent days.
He said: “To speak about a transfer… I am under contract. There have always been little things with the coach, our relationship is still the same, manager-player.
“We have common objectives, which are to win.
“So long as you see that I am not in a Barcelona shirt, that is because I am at Manchester United.
“There will always be rumours.”
Discussing his hair after the World Cup final, ex-Manchester United midfielder Roy Keane said the Frenchman can do what he likes.
“I don’t mind Pogba dancing now,” Keane said.
“He’s entitled to have a dance there.
“He can do whatever the hell he wants with his hair.”
