FIFA 19 RATINGS – The latest edition of EA Sports' popular FIFA series is just around the corner, so who are among the 100 best players in the upcoming game?
EA Sports have finally kicked off their long-awaited countdown of the 100 best players in FIFA 19 ahead of the new release on September 28.
The gaming giant has started a tradition of drip-feeding player ratings to the waiting public in order to heighten anticipation ahead of a launch, and this year is no exception.
The best 100-81 stars in the game have already been revealed, and now EA Sports have unveiled the next batch of elite players.
Arsenal maestro Mesut Ozil is among the latest group announced, while the ratings of several Premier League rivals have also been published.
Manchester United midfielder Nemanja Matic boasts a strong overall score of 86, with the Serbian displaying key defensive and physical skills.
Likewise, Roberto Firmino possesses an impressive balance of attributes to reflect his energetic style of play.
Ultimate Team gamers will be interested to see the Liverpool frontman classified as a centre-forward as opposed to an out-and-out striker in the new release.
Meanwhile, Manchester City have four players all rated 86 in the most recent batch revealed.
Fernandinho, Leroy Sane, Ederson and Nicolas Otamendi have all been ranked equally by the EA team, although each star obviously excels in their respective strengths – Sane’s 95 pace is a stand-out statistic.
Elsewhere, there is a strong Serie A theme in the 80-61 group with six of the 20 players plying their trade at either Inter Milan or Juventus.
Bayern Munich stalwarts Thiago Alcantara, Jerome Boating and Thomas Muller have also been announced as the countdown to the new release continues.
In addition to the release of the top 100 best players, EA Sports have also been revealing new Icons who will feature in FIFA 19 – including George Best, Steven Gerrard and Gary Lineker.
