Chelsea fans will LOVE what injured Cesc Fabregas has been doing in training – WATCH
CHELSEA star Cesc Fabregas has stepped up his recovery from a knee injury.
Cesc Fabregas returns to training following knee injury
Fabregas is yet to feature for Chelsea in the Premier League this term having been sidelined with a knee complaint since the Community Shield.
The Spaniard first suffered the problem during Chelsea’s penalty shoot-out during the friendly with Arsenal in pre-season.
And while he did play in the Blues’ Community Shield defeat to Manchester City, he looked uncomfortable and off the pace.
As a result, he’s missed Chelsea’s four Premier League fixtures so far this term.
“I’m not sure, it's nothing serious, but he has a very unusual injury,” Chelsea manager Maurizio Sarri said last month.
“Nothing serious. I hope in the next week we will be able to have him training.
“He has a pain, not in the knee... near the knee. But not in the knee.”
However, in a boost for Chelsea supporters during the international break, Fabregas has been filmed working hard on the training field as he looks to return to action.
Fabregas uploaded a video to his Instagram page showing him take part in some agility exercises with the ball.
The midfielder looked sharp as he was encouraged by a member of Sarri's coaching staff.
And fans loved watching a glimpse of what Fabregas has been doing to recover from injury.
“Very serious at training. Keep it up man,” one fan wrote.
Another said: “Welcome back Cesc. We've been waiting.”
“Welcome back maestro!” a third wrote.
“At long last. Welcome back @cescf4bregas,” a fourth supporter said.
