West Ham news: Manuel Pellegrini is on the brink of the sack, claims former star
WEST HAM boss Manuel Pellegrini is on the brink of being sacked, according to Tony Cascarino.
West Ham's Pellegrini reflects on 'tough' Liverpool loss
The Hammers are winless this season and lost 1-0 to Wolves on Sunday.
Pellegrini was only drafted in during the summer having been managing in China.
But Cascarino reckons his days at club could already be numbered having spent an eye-watering £100m during the transfer window.
He wrote in The Times: “Last year I said after four games that Frank de Boer had to get the sack at Crystal Palace and I've got the same feeling with Manuel Pellegrini at West Ham.

“Given the way they are getting beaten, I cannot see a way out for this team.
“It was a big risk getting rid of David Moyes and I thought after one game of the season that I had made a mess of my pre-season predictions and should have put them down as one of my teams to go down.
“Pep Guardiola gave an interview to Gary Neville at the end of last season and he said that one of his biggest demands of his players who ‘you've got to run’.
“Think about that and then look at West Ham.
“Some can't run. Some on Saturday chose not to run. I don't see this as a short-term problem.
“The signs were there in the first game against Liverpool. It was alarming.
“They could have lost by eight.
“I see similarities with QPR when they came up and had a lot of players on big wages who didn't work as hard as they might have done.”
West Ham struggled last term and discontent was widespread on the terraces.
The Chilean, who won a Premier League title with Manchester City, is convinced nerves are still an issue in east London.
“The fans have the last season in their mind,” Pellegrini said.
“They see that we are continuing with the same problems as last season where this team played not to be relegated all season.
“They had expectations, they saw we brought in new players and, of course, the desire to see the team playing well is high.
