Tottenham team news: Predicted Spurs line up vs Watford – Hugo Lloris out
TOTTENHAM face Watford in a bid to keep their sparkling start to the season flowing this weekend.
Tottenham will travel to face Watford without goalkeeper Hugo Lloris on Sunday, but will be hoping to maintain their strong start to the season.
Lloris has struggled with a thigh injury this week in training, meaning Michel Vorm will be given the nod to patrol the posts at Vicarage Road.
The Frenchman was in solid form during Spurs' 3-0 victory over Manchester United at Old Trafford last week, just days after being charged with drink-driving.
Mauricio Pochettino kept faith in Lloris despite his arrest, but he will miss out on the clash against the Hornets.
Erik Lamela is also struggling with an injury and is set to miss the game, while Son Heung-Min will miss out due to his involvement in the Asian Games final with South Korea.
However, Pochettino can still name a strong starting XI with Lucas Moura giving the Argentine boss plenty to smile about with three goals in as many games.
The former PSG man has finally hit his stride after signing for the club in January, exploiting a consistent run of first team games at the start of 2018/19.
He has been deployed up front alongside Harry Kane, but has looked equally menacing from the right wing.
Elsewhere, an interesting battle has developed for the left-back spot, with Danny Rose getting the nod ahead of Ben Davies at Old Trafford last week.
Davies looked set to be the regular starter for Spurs this season, but Rose seemingly won't go down without a fight.
Welshman Davies is expected to return to the starting line-up against Watford, but it would come as no surprise to see Rose thrown back into action after performing well against United.
