Liverpool news: Jurgen Klopp drops team news hint ahead of Brighton clash
LIVERPOOL boss has hinted he may make changes ahead of the visit of Brighton on Saturday evening.
The Reds have started the Premier League in fine form, winning both of their games without conceding in their opening two games.
Klopp is still working out his best XI after brining in four new additions over the summer.
The German confirmed defender Dejan Lovren won't be fit for tomorrow's clash with Chris Hughton's side.
But Liverpool could make a handful of changes as Klopp bids to keep each of his stars happy in the early stages of the campaign.
It doesn’t make sense to stick to a team only because we won
“We will see if we make changes," he told reporters.
"It doesn’t make sense to stick to a team only because we won.
“We have quality in the squad to make changes.
"That is possible of course. Dejan is coming closer but he is not really around team training.
"I am not sure what he is doing today.
“Dejan won’t be available for tomorrow’s game and the Leicester game.
"It would be nice to have him back after the international break.”
Klopp's side beat Brighton 4-0 on the final day of the season last term.
But the Liverpool chief insists his club must not suffer from complacency this weekend.
“We can’t compare the last game of last season with this," he added.
“Brighton were safe and we had to fight for our lives [for CL qualification.]
“They are a really good team and I respect a lot what Chris is doing there, not just the Man United game.
“They’re very good, organised and on point. United had chances for a much better result but we are warned. We have to be 100%.
“There is a lot of positivity around here and I like that but we have to be awake and ready for work.
“It’s good, but we play a very good Brighton side with a very good result last week. It’s all how it should be.
"Our crowd will hopefully be on their toes to create a good atmosphere and we try to do that with the football we play. That’s what we want.”
