Liverpool team news: Predicted Liverpool line up vs Brighton – Will Jurgen Klopp rotate?
LIVERPOOL will look to continue their winning start to the season when the Reds welcome Brighton to Anfield on Saturday (5.30pm).
Brighton’s Chris Hughton previews Liverpool clash
Liverpool are eying three wins from their first three Premier League fixtures when Brighton visit Anfield this weekend.
Jurgen Klopp’s side have got their season off to a perfect start with a thumping 4-0 victory over West Ham followed up by a 2-0 triumph away at Crystal Palace.
Chris Hughton’s Brighton are next in the firing line, coming off the back of a shock 3-2 win against Manchester United.
Liverpool have the privilege of potentially fielding an unchanged line-up for the third consecutive match, although Klopp may choose to rotate in order to keep his players fresh.
Joel Matip returned to the match day squad against Palace and is available for selection once again, although Joe Gomez is likely to retain his place at centre-back after impressing alongside Virgil van Dijk.
Jordan Henderson is pushing for a start after two appearances off the bench following his post-World Cup holiday, with Georginio Wijnaldum expected to drop out if the Reds club captain is selected.
The Dutchman has been replaced by Henderson midway through both fixtures so far this campaign, suggesting Klopp values fresh legs in the holding role of his midfield three.
Summer signing Fabinho is currently a fitness doubt but Adam Lallana is in contention to feature and would offer a more attacking option than James Milner.
In attack there is little reason for change with Sadio Mane, Mohamed Salah and Roberto Firmino all fully fit.
Firmino is yet to score in a competitive match since his return from international duty, although the Brazilian is expected to be given another chance to find some form against the Seagulls.
Daniel Sturridge and Xherdan Shaqiri both caught the eye during pre-season but will have to be content with spots on the bench.
Meanwhile, Dejan Lovren is still out while Alex Oxlade-Chamberlain is likely to miss the entire campaign with a knee injury.
