Chelsea news: Real Madrid still want Hazard, Atletico eye Alonso, Pjanic stays at Juventus
CHELSEA news: Express Sport is on hand to bring you all of the latest on the Blues including updates on Eden Hazard, Marcos Alonso and Miralem Pjanic.
Maurizio Sarri praises Chelsea squad after defeating Arsenal
Chelsea star Eden Hazard is reportedly still wanted by Real Madrid with less than two weeks of the La Liga transfer window to go.
Real chiefs are under pressure to splash the cash on a marquee signing to make up for losing Cristiano Ronaldo to Juventus.
And the Mirror indicate they could go back in for Hazard, who flirted with the idea of heading to the Bernabeu earlier this summer.
Real’s attempts are likely to be part of a long-term plan to snare the winger though, with Chelsea refusing to do business while a replacement cannot be signed.
Meanwhile, Real’s cross-city rivals Atletico Madrid are eager to make Marcos Alonso their Filipe Luis replacement, reports claim.
Luis looks set to head to Ligue 1 with big-spending Paris Saint-Germain, who are in the market for a new left-back.
And Alonso, who scored and provided an assist against Arsenal at the weekend, is being eyed up by Atletico as a result, say the Mirror.
A raid for the wing-back will be another test of the decision to shut the Premier League transfer window earlier this summer.
Finally, Miralem Pjanic has committed his future to Juventus until 2023 having been targeted by Chelsea during pre-season.
Maurizio Sarri wanted the Bosnia and Herzegovina international to add some extra class to his midfield engine room.
But Sarri looks unlikely to be welcoming Pjanic to west London in the future after he decided to put pen to paper in Turin.
Pjanic was also targeted by Manchester City and Barcelona this summer having forged a reputation as one of Serie A’s top talents.
