Arsenal transfer news: Sky Sports reporter talks up four potential late deals
ARSENAL could be about to let four players leave the club before today's transfer deadline, claims Sky Sports reporter Gail Davis.
Arsenal fan furious over rumour Shkodran Mustafi is to be sold
Arsenal have already completed one sale today, with Lucas Perez joining West Ham for £4million.
But they still look set to be busy before the 5pm deadline.
Goalkeeper David Ospina could leave, with the arrival of Bernd Leno putting him further down the pecking order.
Danny Welbeck has also been linked with a move away and has reportedly been told he will not get regular first-team football this season.
Arsenal want him to go on a permanent move because he’s in the last 12 months of his contract, so could he be off?
Joel Campbell and Carl Jenkinson, who have both spent several seasons away from the club on loan, could also leave permanently.
“What we’re expecting here is a few exits,” Davis told Sky Sports News.
“David Ospina, one of four goalkeepers. We know he’s been linked with Napoli and Besiktas.
“Arsenal want him to go on a permanent move because he’s in the last 12 months of his contract, so could he be off?
“Also in the last 12 months of his contract is Danny Welbeck, so maybe he will move on if the price is right.
“Two others, Joel Campbell and Carl Jenkinson didn’t take part in pre-season, so it might be that their Arsenal days will come to an end.”
Arsenal are unlikely to add any new faces to their squad.
That is despite interest in Besiktas and Croatia defender Domagoj Vida.
Emery made five signings in his first window in charge.
