However, the 2016 world champion was surprisingly positive about the Brit when analysing his start to the season, despite their previous nasty history.
Hamilton has yet to win a race this term as he struggles to defend his world championship crown.
Mercedes have lacked the pace which Ferrari and Red Bull have shown in the opening three races of the campaign.
But Hamilton’s former team-mate Rosberg has claimed the 33-year-old will bounce back strong than ever in the coming weeks.

Usually he fights for one, two or three races, and these are the races where you, as your opponent in the championship, should maximise
“It's a typical Lewis phase when things do not work out perfectly and he starts to lose his head a little, loses a little motivation and then only strives for a while,” Rosberg told Brazilian outlet Globo.
“Usually he fights for one, two or three races, and these are the races where you, as your opponent in the championship, should maximise.
“Sebastian [Vettel] could not do that.
“It's a big setback for him because Lewis always comes back so strong that he is simply unbeatable.”

Rosberg beat Hamilton to the world championship in 2016 when they were partners at Mercedes.
However, the year was filled with fall-outs and disputes which got so bad the duo blanked each other in the team canteen.
But the German thinks Hamilton will come through the difficult period once he understands the current problems.
“Lewis was really suffering, he was suffering the weekend and, looking at his interviews, really did not understand what is happening,” Rosberg added.
