Lewis Hamilton launches furious outburst at Mercedes team during Bahrain Grand Prix
LEWIS HAMILTON launched a furious outburst at his Mercedes team during the Bahrain Grand Prix.
Lewis Hamilton blasted his Mercedes team
Hamilton had to start from ninth on the grid as he was serving a penalty for changing his gear-box just two races into the season.
The Brit drove well and quickly climbed closer to the race-leader Sebastian Vettel.
The surprise early exits of Red Bull duo Max Verstappen and Daniel Ricciardo reduced the competition and Hamilton sat third going into the final 10 laps.
But the four-time world champion was dying to close the gap to team-mate Valtteri Bottas, in second, so that he could push for pole.
However, Hamilton felt his team were not giving him enough instructions to kick on so he let them know how he felt about it.
"I feel like you guys are not giving much of a picture,” Hamilton said over the radio.
“I don't know what the **** I'm doing out here.”
Hamilton was unable to close the gap on Bottas and he finished third.

Hamilton was involved in an early collision with Max Verstappen
However, he was caught up in an early incident which caused Verstappen’s retirement from the race.
Hamilton clipped the rear left tyre of his Ferrari rival which caused a puncture.
But Mercedes chief Toto Wolff thinks there was nothing untoward with the collision.
"It was a racing incident,” he said.
“Max dived in on the inside, a good move, bit aggressive pushing Hamilton out but I think most drivers would have done that."
