F1 NEWS - who will win the Formula One drivers championship in 2018?
F1 news: Will Lewis Hamilton win the 2018 title?
Who will win the F1 drivers title?
Lewis Hamilton - 5/6 (Winner)
The bookies are unanimous that Hamilton will make it five world title wins in 2018.
The Brit won in 2008, 2014, 2015 and 2017 and is the hot favourite to do so again.
He is odds-on across the board with BetStars as short as 8/13 for Hamilton to come out on top.
The best price you can get on Hamilton taking the crown in 2018 is 5/6 with Winner.
Sebastian Vettel - 9/2 (BetStars)
The second favourite in the betting. Vettel is ranked as the man most likely to get close to Hamilton and is 9/2 to do so to win it with BetStars.
But it’s hardly a blazing rivalry with Vettel admitting last week: “He is an opponent on the track, but not in life. Honestly, it does not matter to me who you are driving against.”
Valtteri Bottas has fired a warning to Lewis Hamilton before the new F1 season
Max Verstappen - 8/1 (Sporting Bet)
Bookies can’t seem to make their mind up about the 20-year-old Belgian.
He’s the young pretender on the scene but showed last season he had the potential to cause upsets.
The Red Bull racer is as short as 9/2 with BetVictor while Sporting Bet make him an 8/1 shot.
Valtteri Bottas - 11/1 (Betway)
The Mercedes driver is talking a good game with Bottas stating he expects tensions to rise with Hamilton as he dares to do the unthinkable and beat the British driver to the Formula One world championship.
Not that the bookies think he has much chance with Betway as big as 11/1 on it happening.
