Lewis Hamilton reacts to F1 World Championship win on Mercedes team radio
LEWIS HAMILTON thanked Mercedes for their hard work as he claimed the 2017 Formula One World Championship.
Mercedes driver Lewis Hamilton has won the fourth F1 World Championship of his career
The Brit endured a nightmare start to tonight's race at Mexico's Autodromo Hermanos Rodriguez when he was forced off the track by Sebastian Vettel.
That clash of cars pushed Hamilton from third to last place on the grid and he had to go into the pits in lap one.
Hamilton fought his way back through the field though and ended the race in ninth position.
However, it was Vettel's failure to finish in the top two in Mexico City that handed the Mercedes man his fourth crown.
I just want to thank everyone in this team
Speaking on Mercedes' team radio after crossing the finish line, Hamilton said: "I just want to thank everyone in this team.
"What you've done this past couple of years is just remarkable and I'm just so grateful for all your hard work this year.
"God bless you."
