Why I won’t work with Lewis Hamilton after years with Nico Rosberg at Mercedes
NICO ROSBERG’s trainer has admitted that he does not know what his next move will be but it won’t be across the garage to work with Lewis Hamilton.
Nico Rosberg's trainer at Mercedes Daniel Schlosser feels he could not cross the garage
Rosberg left Mercedes in the lurch when he retired just days after securing the 2016 F1 World Drivers’ Championship.
Lewis Hamilton finished five points behind him in a third consecutive title race with his team-mate but will have a new man on the other side of the garage for 2017.
However, the battle between the two drivers appears to have left some scars as Daniel Schlosser, who worked as Rosberg’s physical trainer, revealed he could not move across to work with Hamilton.
"For me, everything came very suddenly,” he added.
"I'm exploring my options because I would be very happy to stay at Mercedes, and I would also like to work in my home town of Cologne or cooperate with another driver or sportsman.”
