JENSON BUTTON is a frontrunner to replace Felipe Massa at Williams after the Brazilian announced he is quitting Formula One at the end of the season.

Button has yet to learn whether he will be retained by McLaren, with the Woking-based team are leaning towards handing highly rated Belgian youngster Stoffel Vandoorne a race seat next season.
Even if Button is offered another year with McLaren the pull of an emotional return to Williams, where he started his grand prix career back in 2000, may be too tempting to turn down.
The following year Massa cheated death during qualifying at the Hungarian Grand Prix. He suffered a fractured skull after being struck on the crash helmet by a spring that came off Rubens Barrichello's car.
