Lewis Hamilton has paid tribute to legendary F1 driver Michael Schumacher after breaking the record for most race wins in F1. Schumacher's record of 91 race wins in Formula One was expected to stand the test of time.
His final victory came at the 2006 Chinese Grand Prix and the following year saw a young Hamilton make an instant impact in the sport.
Still, nobody would have quite predicted that Hamilton would go on to have the career that he has had to date.
Since moving to Mercedes in 2013, Hamilton has dominated the sport, breaking numerous records along the way.
The 35-year-old remains on course to match Schumacher's record of seven world championships this season after opening up a lead of 77 points over Valtteri Bottas at the Portuguese Grand Prix.

But the race at the Algarve International Circuit proved significant in more ways than one as it saw Hamilton become the most successful driver in F1 history in terms of Grands Prix won.
There was emotional scenes last week when Mick Schumacher handed Hamilton one of his father's race-worn helmets after equalling the win record.
And after breaking Schumacher's milestone on Sunday, Hamilton admitted to be "thinking of" the legendary driver.
"NINETY TWO WINS," Hamilton's Instagram post began.

"It doesn’t matter how many Sunday’s we do this, it’s always a challenge.
"None of this has been easy. It’s been such a privilege to work with you all.
"I’m thinking of Michael today, I will forever have the utmost admiration and respect for you, it’s truly been an honour to be mentioned in the same sentence as you.
"And to you #TeamLH, I can’t express how grateful I am for all of you.
