Luke Littler wants driving lesson support from Formula One stars such as Max Verstappen and Lando Norris after giving them a session in darts. The teenager, who is yet to pass his driving test and was forced to cancel lessons earlier this year, was invited to Silverstone on Thursday ahead of the British Grand Prix.

Littler showed F1 drivers including Verstappen, Norris and Sergio Perez how to throw darts in a session at Silverstone. The 17-year-old admitted that he was surprised by the darting talent on the grid.

He now wants to find out if he can drive an F1 car as well as the drivers can throw darts.

Speaking to Formula One’s official channels, Littler said: “Giving F1 drivers a crash course on how to play darts was a fantastic experience.

“I was surprised by how good some of them were, especially when they were up against the clock during the darts challenge I set for them. They even gave me some tips for my driving lessons, so it’s time to see if I’m better at driving than the drivers are at darts!”

Littler posed for photos with Verstappen, Perez and Norris. All three drivers will hope to win at Silverstone on Sunday.

There will be plenty of eyes on the battle between Verstappen and Norris a week on from their bitter falling-out in Austria. The Red Bull driver was handed a 10-second penalty for a collision which ended the race of his McLaren rival, who was infuriated.

The pair have since spoken, with Norris backtracking on his strong criticism of Verstappen. Both share a positive relationship.

Asked about the criticism he has faced in the aftermath, Verstappen bluntly responded: “I don't give a s*** about that. I go home, I live my life. And the only thing that I care about is just my relationship to Lando.”

Verstappen spoke with Norris on Monday and the pair agreed that they would continue racing robustly.

The Dutchman continued: “I think we came to the conclusion that we actually really enjoyed our battle. We looked at the incident, and it was such a silly little touch that had, of course, great consequence for both of us.

“But we like to race hard. We've done this for many years, not only in Formula One, even like online racing, where we had a lot of fun together. These things have to carry on, because that's what we like to do. And I think it's great for Formula One as well.”
