Mick Schumacher 2021 F1 race seat to be confirmed at Eifel Grand Prix

Mick Schumacher has reportedly won a seat to race for Alfa Romeo next year with an announcement set to be made at the Eifel Grand Prix. Schumacher has enjoyed an incredible season in F2 as he sits atop the leaderboard heading into the final stage of the campaign.
His efforts have been rewarded with a seat in Antonio Giovinazzi's car to drive in Friday's free practice session.
It's not the first time the son of legendary driver Michael Schumacher will step into an F1 seat back in April 2019 at Bahrain.
He has also done demonstration runs in his father's old car, including the championship-winning 2004 Ferrari.
Friday though will be a different experience altogether though as he has plenty of people to impress.

"It is the first time that we are really driving for all eyes, for all team bosses and all CEOs," he told RTL.
"I will try to do my best and I will make sure that I can get the most out of myself."
He added: "The step from F2 to F1 will be the biggest step in my life so far, especially if you look at the times.
"There is more than ten seconds difference between the two series.

"Moreover, the preparation is a lot more intense.
"The days are longer and the work is much more divided between the team members.
"That also means that you work with a lot more individual people."
As part of Ferrari's Driver Academy programme, Schumacher has long been tipped to make the jump up to Formula One at some stage.
Ferrari has control over one of the seats at Alfa Romeo, currently held by Giovinazzi.
And according to GMM F1 via Sports Mole, that a decision has been made that Schumacher will take the Italian's seat next season.
Alfa Romero will reportedly make an announcement this weekend at the Nurburgring.
Fellow Ferrari Driver Academy junior Callum Ilott is also trying to convince team bosses he is deserving of an F1 seat as he takes the wheel behind a Haas in Friday's free practice session.
