Nigel Benn shows jaw-dropping speed as he smacks Dillian Whyte on the chin in training
NIGEL BENN left boxing fans stunned after being filmed on the pads with British heavyweight contender Dillian Whyte last week, showing incredible speed more than 22 years after his last fight.
The 54-year-old showed he has not lost any of his speed
The former two-weight world champion travelled to Whyte’s Brixton gym to put the 29-year-old through his paces during an entertaining session captured by iFL TV.
Benn, 54, tries to convince Whyte to hit him with a jab but Whyte, who is currently the WBC’s No 1 ranked heavyweight, politely refuses.
“I don’t want to knock out a legend,” he laughs.
Eventually, Benn convinces him to let his lead hand go, smacking the pads with an ear-splitting crack.
“I want to show you something,” Benn says, asking Whyte to throw another jab.
Quick as a flash, Benn counters with a slap on the chin, leaving Whyte looking shocked before he explains how the Jamaican-born fighter was inadvertently telegraphing his shots.

Another said: “I think that was a tad harsh on Dillian.
“It’s easy to counter when you are telling a man what to throw. I know its all in the spirit of learning though.”
“Whyte has% improved 100% since the Joshua fight,” added a third.
