Kell Brook insider opens up on Manny Pacquiao and why Amir Khan won't take title fight
AMIR KHAN still wants to fight Manny Pacquiao but doesn't want to risk ending his career by taking on Kell Brook, according to promoter Eddie Hearn.
Eddie Hearn believes Amir Khan could not recover from defeat to Kell Brook
Representatives of Khan and Brook, including Hearn, had been in talks over a potential IBF welterweight world title fight.
However, negotiations broke down over the money split between the two fighters and Brook instead will fight Errol Spence Jr on May 20.
Khan meanwhile had UAE investors attempting to broker a deal for him to fight the legendary Manny Pacquiao although that also fell through last week.
“Thurman is being talked about as a possible opponent for Khan and that would pay around £3m," Hearn added.
"Fight Brook and the purse jumps to £8m.”
