The former heavyweight champion vacated his belts more than a year ago after admitting to cocaine abuse and had been banned by the British Boxing Board of Control (BBBofC) for a number of issues including a drugs problem.
But now the 28-year-old has declared that he will box under an Irish licence because of the BBBofC's treatment.
"I will be boxing on a BUI [Boxing Union of Ireland] boxing licence from now on," Tyson Fury said on Twitter.
"Want nothing more to do with BBOC, all they do is fine me anyways, boom."
The self-titled "Gypsy King", who comes from a family with Irish Traveller heritage, yesterday revealed that he was planning to fight again, confirming what his uncle and trainer Peter Fury had said early this year.
"I'm taking on all bums," Fury said.
"Keep my belts warm guys as they belong to the king.
"Whoever got my belts I'm coming for you! Big or small."
Fury is eyeing May 13 for his comeback and is looking for opponents with promoter Frank Warren.
However, he had his licence revoked in October after admitted to drink and drug binges and he is not expected to be granted another one.
"Tyson Fury is suspended," BBBofC general secretary Robert Smith said.
“Fury has a lot of issues he needs to deal with before he even thinks about getting in the ring properly.

“He has an anti-doping issue, he has other medical issues that all have to be considered.
“We haven’t had any contact with him since he was suspended so I would expect, if he was looking to box shortly, he’ll need to contact us.
“He hasn’t done so and therefore nothing has changed. He is not in a position to box.”
