Mike Tyson told his fans he is feeling much better after his health scare last week - insisting that he will be ready for his fight with Jake Paul on July 20. Tyson tweeted: "Now feeling 100% even though I don’t need to be to beat Jake Paul."

On Monday, Tyson suffered a medical emergency on an American Airlines flight from Miami to Los Angeles. The heavyweight legend became nauseous and dizzy due to an ulcer flare-up. This led to even further concerns about his health going into the bout with Paul on July 20 - the YouTuber will be 31 years younger than him when they step into the ring.

But Tyson will have hoped his latest update quietens any worries that fans may have, as his representatives also recently addressed the public concern by providing a medical update, assuring that the former heavyweight champion has since recovered and is in good health.

"Thankfully, Mr. Tyson is doing great. He became nauseous and dizzy due to an ulcer flare-up 30 minutes before landing. He is appreciative of the medical staff that were there to help him," said his representative. "However, it’s false reporting that his medical attention caused the flight delay. This two-hour delay was due to air conditioning issue on the aircraft."

In Touch Weekly reported that a call for a doctor was made over the plane's tannoy system. A witness told the publication: "Mike had some kind of medical emergency on the plane and paramedics boarded.

"Before the paramedics arrived the flight issued an announcement asking for a doctor - the message even came on everyone's screens."

The eyewitness also added: "He was in first class, but we were an exit row and the stewardess was very chatty. They asked us to stay on the plane and landed so paramedics could enter.

"She said something like, 'He's a really important passenger so we want to make sure he's OK.' I knew it was him, but I just mouthed the words ' Mike Tyson ' and she nodded her head 'yes.'"

Tyson has posted numerous training videos preparing for the fight in recent weeks, looking to be in incredible shape.

However, he comes into the fight as the betting underdog, with Paul looking for his 10th professional win off the back of two impressive knockout wins over Andre August and Ryan Bourland.
