Anthony Joshua: I'm BEGGING to fight Deontay Wilder
Boxing News - Anthony Joshua vs Jarrell Miller talked up
Anthony Joshua’s promoter Eddie Hearn has revealed that American Jarrell Miller will be the frontrunner to fight ‘AJ’ next if Deontay Wilder, Tyson Fury or Dillian Whyte don’t accept offers to face the Olympian at Wembley in March.
“There’s radio silence from Wilder, Fury we’re talking, Dillian Whyte we’re talking,” Hearn told DAZN this past weekend at Madison Square Garden.
“Part of me would love to see Joshua come to the States, you know Miller – he’s creeping into the top five right now, he’s making some noise in America.
“To be a global star at some point you have to fight in America and to see Joshua fill up Madison Square Garden with 21,000-22,000 people – that’s a real statement of intent for a world heavyweight champion, for a Brit especially.
“We will see what happens, I think you’ll get a decision next week.
“For me if [Joshua] can’t get Wilder, Fury or Dillian, he must come to America and Jarrell will be at the front of that queue.
“Don’t be surprised to see Joshua in June against Big Baby Miller in this very building [Madison Square Garden].”
He’s old now
Boxing News - Khabib Nurmagomedov calls for Floyd Mayweather fight
UFC lightweight champion Khabib Nurmagomedov has reiterated his desire to box Floyd Mayweather before he calls time on his career.
“He’s old now,” Nurmagomedov told Submission said. “If you talk about like if I’m gonna compete with young lions in boxing, of course it’s gonna be very tough for me.
“Like, even if you talk about Canelo or Golovkin, these guys are dangerous. But Mayweather now is old, 41, 42 years old.
"You know, but he’s a very big name. If we can take very big fish, why not?
“A lot of people don’t understand about age, about when you did in competition.
"Like, they think, ‘Oh, Mayweather and that’s it,’ or, ‘Conor and that’s it’. They don’t know what’s inside. We can take everything what they have.
“You know, all his 50-0, we can take this because he’s too old, too small, and it’s gonna be smart decision for my future, for legacy, for money, for fans, for everywhere.”
Amir Khan: I can WIN Terence Crawford fight
Boxing News - Amir Khan discusses Terence Crawford fight
Amir Khan believes his April bout with Terence Crawford will be the ‘hardest’ fight of his career in the welterweight division.
“It’s not the hardest fight, obviously I fought Canelo [Alvarez], who was stronger and bigger physically,” Khan told Express Sport.
“But in the 147-pound division, it’s probably the hardest fight for me.
“In the 147-pound division, I’m unbeaten, it’s my natural weight, I’m happy making 147 and it’s my ideal weight.”
