Joshua nose 'BROKEN': Povetkin draws BLOOD from Anthony Joshua’s nose in first round
ANTHONY JOSHUA was caught with a flurry of punches by Alexander Povetkin in the final stages of the first round and it looks as though his nose may be broken.
Joshua knew Povetkin was going to provide a dangerous test for him with the Russian only losing one of his 35 professional fights.
And the reigning heavyweight champion was in danger early on after being caught with a heavy left hook at the end of the first round.
Joshua made his way back to the corner and blood soon began gushing down from his nose.

That led to several viewers suspecting the worst for the 29-year-old.
One fan tweeted: “Joshua definitely broke his nose gonna have a white eye in the morning.”
Another said: “Looks like Povetkin has broken Anthony Joshua’s nose, which got damaged in the Takam fight.”
A third said: “Joshua’s nose is broken. Swallowing blood not good.”
Joshua's last trip to Wembley was a similarly tough ask for him when he had to dig deep against Wladimir Klitschko.
The Briton was sent to the canvas by Klitschko and there was big concern about whether he would be able to recover.
But Joshua proved his credentials in style that time, knocking out the boxing legend in the 11th round.
