ITV Good Morning Britain: Magician's trick exposed by viewers - did you notice?
ITV GOOD MORNING BRITAIN featured an interview with British magician Julius Dein, yet viewers weren’t very impressed by his trick after a camera blunder revealed the hidden strings that helped him to perform the feat.
GMB: Kate and Eamonn dazzled by magician Julius Dein
Julius Dein made a name for himself after his video in which he amazed rapper Drake with his lollipop trick went viral.
He managed to drastically change the shape of the lollipop using just his mouth.
Since performing the trick on the Canadian musician, Julian’s now reached 20 million followers on Facebook and Instagram.
It was a very impressive trick, yet he didn’t impress viewers with his appearance on Good Morning Britain.
The magician performed a trick in which he levitated a pair of glasses.
However, the camera angle used gave away the whole trick.
People could see the thin strings he was using to manipulate the glasses.
Many eagle-eyed viewers took to Twitter to voice their displeasure with the unintentional reveal.
One user wrote: ”This magic man has millions of fans??
“You could see the bits of string attached to his glasses!! #gmb #notmagic #fail #mustdobetter."
Another added: "@GMB well the floating glasses trick went wrong considering I could see the string coming down from his wrist attached to the glasses.
“Maybe a different camera angle next time?"
A third said: "That magic trick was s***. Can see the string."
This on-air blunder isn’t what Julian is used to.
The magician has performed tricks in front of Liam Payne, Stormzy and Oscar-winner Leonardo DiCaprio.
He usually never fails to amaze his audience, yet this time Julian was let down by poor camera angles.
The young trickster spoke to BBC Newsbeat about how he ended up performing in front of Drake at a London nightclub.
"Drake has a feel for what I do,” he said.
"He messaged me because he was having an album launch party for Scorpion, he just said to come through.
"I made sure, just in case he wanted to see a little trick, I was at the ready,” he finished.
Good Morning Britain airs weekdays at 6am on ITV.
